My practice is informed by Marcel Duchamp and his redefinition of artistic authorship. His use of the readymade shifted emphasis from manual skill to conceptual framing, where selection and context become creative acts. I extend this approach through machine learning, using systems like Runway ML to generate compositions from my own archive. Authorship becomes distributed, with the machine acting as collaborator. However, I reintroduce the human hand through painting, drawing and printingl.
