The Kennedy Prize 2019

Amazed that I have been selected as a finalist in the 2019 Kennedy Prize. The Kennedy Prize is an annual Australian art award of $25,000 for ‘beauty’

The prize, offered by the Kennedy Arts Foundation, is based and exhibited in Adelaide but open to Australian artists nationwide, and is awarded to works that embody, comment on or celebrate beauty.

new painting section of 2017 series of paintings added to website

Have added my 2017 paintings to my website these are in a landscape format which is a break from my portrait formats that I have been using for landscapes over the last couple of years.

This new series of artworks continues my interest in disregarded landscapes.

Drawing inspiration from Shakespeare play Macbeth and its themes of prophecies foretell approaching trouble and strife The paintings act as harbingers of environmental ruin and renewal.
